NEW LIFE AFTER
Since the conception of BEEMONDO we decided that we must address the issues of the textile clothing industry and do what we can to enable recycling and reduce waste.
At BEEMONDO we are inspired by the world of bees. Every bee is important, as a pollinator in nature, to maintain the balance in the ecosystem, contribute to greenery, food production and biodiversity. This doesn’t only mean inspiration for our designs, but also about how we can do our part and try to work towards reducing waste and enabling more recyling. Kids are the future and we can do better to leave a better planet for them.

In today’s world, choice is everywhere!
Take a look at some of your own clothing labels and see how many materials they contain. The chances are you will find a mix of materials. Mixed synthetic fabrics (like polyester, polyamide, elastane, viscose) and sometimes also mixed with natural fabrics (like cotton, linen, wool).
While each fabric brings different benefits, are we considering the end-of-life of the garments?
THE UNTOLD STORY OF CLOTHING WASTE
Did you know that almost 73% of the
clothes end up in landfills or being incinerated at the end-of-life?
12 % of the clothes end
up recycled in any form.
Did you know that only 1% of the clothes
are being recycled into new clothing due to technical and economic barriers?

END–OF–LIFE
When the first user stops
using an item, even if the
item is still wearable.
END–OF–USE
When a garment can no longer
be used or reused in its current
form due to damage, wear, or degradation.
-
As of 1 January 2025, it is mandatory to separate the collection of clothing and textile waste in the EU. It means that one cannot throw away the clothes in the bin. This is a progress in moving forward for a circular future and not throwing away unnecessary waste that might end up in landfills or being incinerated
-
80% of the garments environmental footprint is determined in the design phase. In the design phase, we specify the materials, constructions of the garments. This dictates the footprint upstream in the supply chain but also the footprint at the End-of-Life for the product, which doesn’t have to be end-of-life for the material

BEEMONDO - BORN FORWARD THINKING
The BEEMONDO collection is designed by a highly-skilled design team with great attention to detail, high-quality execution and with carefully selected materials. ALL BEEMONDO items are designed to be made in one singular material; mono-material, excluding buttons, zippers, elastic bands and embroideries. This simplifies upcycling and reduces waste as the entire item can be processed as one mono-material.
All BEEMONDO items are 100% recyclable.

All BEEMONDO items come with informative tags explaining what BEEMONOMATERIAL is about and thus informs and inspires for upcycling. Our aim is to raise awareness about our unique BEEMONDO offer and the value of owning a clothing item made in one material; BEEMONOMATERIAL, and seeing it as a future commodity.
Every BEEMONDO piece combines premium style with functionality, designed to support kids’ active lifestyles while staying bold, chic and forward looking.
