FEEL THE DIFFERENCE - Our Premium Cotton

Cotton is a natural fiber that grows around the seeds of the cotton plant, forming soft, fluffy bolls.
These fibers protect the seeds and help the plant thrive in hot, dry climates.
Once harvested, the cotton is carefully cleaned, spun, and transformed into breathable, soft yarn.

Cotton has many advantages, such as its ability to control moisture, insulate, provide comfort and remain durable after
multiple wears. Its natural softness, strength, and gentle feel against the skin make it an ideal choice for children’s knitwear.
Keeping little ones cozy and comfortable, season after season.

Knitwear Terms

  • JACQUARD KNIT

JACQUARD KNIT Jacquard knit is a sophisticated knitting technique that allows for intricate patterns and refined detailing, seamlessly integrated into the knit itself.
Unlike printed designs, Jacquard knit motifs are knitted directly into the garment, creating a textural richness, 3D feeling and visual depth that elevates the overall look and feel.
Often crafted in fine gauges such as 12 gg, Jacquard knitwear embodies artful craftsmanship and is favored for its timeless elegance and tactile luxury—perfect for statement pieces.

At BEEMONDO, Jacquard knit is our hallmark knit and we use this on most of our knitwear garments. The creative freedom with Jacquard knit is unlimited and we also search for new creative and chic designs for our knitwear collection.

  • CABLE KNIT
Cable knit pattern is a decorative pattern that reminds us of braids.

    PLAIN KNIT
Plain knit has a flat surface and does not have any knitted patterns. A plain knitted garment is most often knitted in 7 or 12 gg.

  • DOUBLE KNIT
Double knit is a premium construction where two layers of yarn knits are knitted simultaneously, creating a double-faced knit with a smooth,
    refined finish on both sides.
This technique adds structure, softness, and subtle weight, offering a luxurious feel and enhanced durability.
Known for its sculpted drape, double knit is ideal for elevated everyday pieces, bringing both comfort and elegance to children’s knitwear.

Most BEEMONDO knitwear garments in our Fall Winter collection use double knit. We believe kids deserve to wear comfortable yet staying elegant looking.

    • Exceptional cotton knitwear should feel naturally soft, breathable, and smooth against the skin—especially important for children’s sensitive skin. While a soft texture is a good sign, don’t rely on touch alone. Some garments are treated with softening agents or silicones to imitate a luxurious handfeel. Others are pre-washed excessively, which may feel nice at first but weakens the fabric’s long-term durability.
    • To assess true quality, hold the garment up to the light. Premium cotton knitwear will show a clean, consistent knit with minimal surface fuzz. If it looks overly fluffy or pills easily when gently rubbed, it likely uses shorter, weaker fibers that won’t hold up to regular wear.
    • Check the fiber composition. High-quality cotton knitwear should be made from 100% cotton, not blended with synthetic fibers like polyester or elastane, which can compromise breathability, softness, and aging over time. Pure cotton retains its shape beautifully and becomes even softer with wear—without sacrificing integrity
    • Color can also affect the feel. Natural and lighter tones, such as white, beige, or soft greys, often require less dye and maintain more of the cotton’s original softness. Darker shades like navy or black require more intensive dyeing, which may slightly reduce the softness unless carefully finished.
